Dr. Yusuf Jadwat is a highly respected and accomplished periodontist, renowned for his expertise in the field of Periodontology, Oral Medicine and Dental Implantology. He was born in the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal and grew up in a family of dental professionals. From a young age, he was fascinated by the human body and how it works. With a career spanning several decades, Dr. Jadwat has made significant contributions to the advancement of periodontal care, earning a reputation for his clinical excellence, dedication to patient care, and commitment to education.
In 2004, Yusuf began his master’s degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontology and on completion obtained his MDent (OMP), following which, he registered as a Specialist in Periodontics with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (S.A) and the General Dental Council (U.K). After completing his specialized training, he established a successful private practice in Johannesburg (S.A), focusing on periodontal therapy, dental implants, and the treatment of complex oral health conditions.
In 2022, Yusuf obtained his certification in Surgical leadership (SLP) from Harvard University.
Yusuf has a passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge with others. Dr. Jadwat has been actively involved in academic and professional organizations. He has held teaching positions at leading dental institutions, where he has mentored and inspired the next generation of periodontists. More recently, he has focused on teaching ‘digital implantology’ and semi guided dental implant placement. He has also presented at conferences, and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals. His book on compliance with periodontal maintenance was published in 2009. The launch of the Mentorship academy in 2024 has further aided in creating a platform for ongoing education.
Outside of work, Yusuf enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through a dedicated training program. He is also an avid reader and loves learning about new developments in the field of dentistry.
